Air Cargo Tracking in India

Use this hub when your shipment is moving on an Indian carrier or through an Indian airport and you have (or can get) an air waybill — not a courier receipt.

Direct Answer

To track air cargo in India, use the 11-digit AWB on the airline document. Air India Cargo is prefix 098, IndiGo Cargo is 312. Paste a master AWB below to open the airline tracker, or jump to Air India, IndiGo, or Akasa.

Track an AWB used in India

Works for any supported prefix, including 098 (Air India) and 312 (IndiGo).

Indian carriers this hub points to

These are outbound links only. Each airline keeps status on its own cargo system; this page does not add a second tracker.

  • Air India Cargo (098) — national carrier cargo AWB tracking on this site, which opens Air India’s official tool.
  • IndiGo Cargo (312) — IndiGo’s cargo AWB page. Use the 11-digit number from the IndiGo cargo document.
  • Akasa Air Cargo — Akasa’s cargo tracking page on this site.

How an India AWB lookup works

  1. Find the AWB on the cargo receipt, e-AWB, or forwarder pre-alert. Need help locating it? See how to find an AWB number.
  2. Confirm it is an airline AWB, not a domestic courier sticker used for the last mile after the airport.
  3. Paste the number above, or open the carrier link that matches the prefix.
  4. For imports, “arrived” or “notified” means the cargo terminal has it. Your customs broker still has to clear it before delivery.

What this page is not

It is not a second homepage, and it is not a courier hub. Searches for Blue Dart, Delhivery, DTDC or Aramex belong on those companies’ sites. International airlines that just happen to land in DEL, BOM, MAA or BLR are tracked from their own carrier pages — start from all airlines if the prefix is not 098 or 312.

Frequently asked questions

Which AWB do Indian cargo airlines use?

Scheduled cargo movements use a standard 11-digit IATA air waybill. Air India cargo uses prefix 098. IndiGo Cargo uses prefix 312. Enter the full number, not a courier receipt from a last-mile partner.

Can I track Indian customs on the AWB?

Airline trackers show cargo milestones (accepted, arrived, notified). Import clearance is a separate customs process. Your broker uses the AWB as the transport reference, but ICEGATE or the broker’s portal is where filing status lives.

What if I have a Blue Dart or Delhivery number?

Those are courier waybills, not airline AWBs. Use the courier’s own tracker. This page is for air-cargo AWBs issued by airlines operating to, from, or within India.
